PRC Development At Aberdeen, LLC has entered into an agreement with Aberdeen Township for the Redevelopment of a portion of the former South River Metals site on Church Street.

The anticipated development of the site would provide for 92 age-restricted, rental units, which would be regulated by COAH (Council on Affordable Housing) guidelines to assure affordable rents for seniors, many of whom are expected to come from the Aberdeen community.

In addition to amenities such as a pool and recreational offerings which will be made available to tenants within the development, a Senior Community Center, which will be for all Senior Residents of Aberdeen, is to be built within the development.

The development is also expected to include 52 age-restricted townhouses, which are to be made available for sale.

Individuals interested in renting or purchasing units should watch for future postings at the site and monitor the Township’s newsletter for continuing updates and information on project progress.

Comprehensive project plans are in the process of being completed and are expected to be presented for public review and comment before the end of the year.
